Research & development

Pharmaceutical industry
During commissioning, the technical equipment and systems are tested, adjusted, and coordinated with one another. This includes, in particular ventilation and air-handling systems as well as - depending on the project - heating, cooling, plumbing, measurement, control, and regulation technology, along with other cleanroom- and process-related systems.
Commissioning takes place after the completion of the major installation work and before regular production operations begin. It also serves as an important foundation for the subsequent acceptance testing and qualification.
During commissioning, the technical functionality of the equipment is established, tested, and optimized. During the subsequent qualification process, it is documented and verified that the cleanroom and equipment meet the specified requirements.
Depending on the system, air flow rates, pressure conditions, temperatures, control functions, and the operation of individual components, among other things, are checked and adjusted. The goal is to ensure stable and energy-efficient system operation.
Many of the technical systems in a cleanroom are directly interconnected. Coordinated commissioning helps identify interface issues early on and adjust the systems so that the cleanroom can be operated reliably and efficiently.
